Warrior Women lose in a tight battle

This was a tough night in the Thunderdome, ending in a hard-fought defeat against Manhattan Christian College. Despite the final score, our team showed flashes of strong play and an exceptional effort on the glass.

The highlight of the evening was the dominant performance by forward Nyanbay Puok. She delivered a game-high 26 points, shooting an efficient 11-of-18 from the field, and securing a massive double-double with 12 total rebounds. We also saw tremendous work on the boards from Kassie Abrahamson, who collected a team-high 13 rebounds (12 defensive).

Key Challenges:

  • Scoring Lulls: Although we held an early 5-point lead, we were unable to sustain momentum throughout the game.

  • Shooting Efficiency: Our biggest hurdle was shooting the basketball, as the team converted only 35.7% from the field and struggled severely from long range, hitting just 3-of-16 attempts (18.8%).

Turnover Differential: We struggled with ball security, committing 17 turnovers, which Manhattan Christian College converted into 11 points. On the flip side, we were only able to generate 4 points from their 6 turnovers.
