Warrior Men Knock Off NCCAA D1 Kansas Christian at Home
UNION, December 2, 2025 – The Warrior Men avenged a 113-83 point loss when they traveled to Kansas City earlier in the season and took down the Kansas Christian College Falcons, an NCCAA DI opponent, 100-94 in the Thunderdome!
This game was a back-and-forth affair, featuring 15 ties and 20 lead changes. Union went into the locker room at the half with a slight 45-43 edge, but KCC battled back in the second half, forcing the extra period with the score locked at 84 after Chris Johson hit two free throws with 6 seconds remaining in the game. In overtime, the Warriors came out hot and outscored the Falcons 16-10 in overtime to seal the 100-94 win!
Success was built on a massive advantage inside. Union absolutely controlled the glass, beating KCC on the boards 48-30. The interior offense was spectacular, posting 56 points in the paint. Overall, Union shot an impressive 55.2% from the field (37-67) for the game.
